CAPTAIN FLAMINGO

Captain Flamingo was created by Heroic Films' John May and Suzanne Bolch and developed by Breakthrough Films' Kevin Gillis and Atomic Cartoons' Rob Davies. It is a co-production between Breakthrough Films, Heroic Films, Atomic Cartoons' and Philippine Animation Studio, Inc.

Captain Flamingo features Milo Powell who turns to be a superhero every time a kid like him is in trouble and calls for help. Lizbeth, his sidekick, always accompanies him in all these adventures. Captain Flamingo always turns to his backpack full of novelty items to save the day while his "bird-brain" never fails to assist him in figuring out what to do during those "very difficult" situations.

Philippine Animation Studio, Inc produced 52 x 22 minutes of the flash animated series. The studio finished 2 Specials as well. Captain Flamingo is licensed to YTV Canada, Nickelodeon Australia, ABC Australia, Nickelodeon Latin America and VRAK TV.  The quirky animated series was also shown in Toon Disney of the United States.

Through the efforts of Celestial Pictures, a subsidiary of Astro All Asia Networks plc, where in PASI, also belongs, Captain Flamingo is now being aired in Indonesia. In 2007, QTV 11, a subsidiary of GMA - 7 Television Network, Captain Flamingo invaded the local homes in the Philippines. Fellow Filipinos had a chance to take a peek of the popular animated series.

Captain Flamingo, since its inception, has received numerous nominations and citations for its quality and originality. The Alliance for Children and Television of Canada nominated Captain Flamingo in the Award of Excellence under Animation 6-8 category in 2006. Captain Flamingo also won 2006's Gemini Awards for Best Original Musical Score for an Animated Program or Series. Captain Flamingo Season 2 was also nominated in Gemini Awards for Best Animated Program or Series.
