Based on the Academy Award-winning short film "Bob's Birthday" created by David Fine and Alison Snowden, "Bob and Margaret" is a half hour animated situation prime time comedy. "Bob and Margaret" focuses on the ordinary lives of a middle class dentist and his foot doctor wife. Together, they tackle such familial traumas as being burgled, going on a package holiday without their beloved dogs William and Elizabeth and deciding whether or not having a child would ruin their lives. They do all this with a gentle restraint and a keen sense of the absurd. "Bob and Margaret" provides a whole new way to look - and laugh - at the ordinary occurrences in life.

Airing on Global Television, "Bob and Margaret" is the first prime time animated series to air on Canadian television. Its high profile run has earned the series significant critical praise, as well as multiple award considerations, including a Gemini award nomination for excellence in Canadian television and best primetime series at 2001 World Animation Celebration.
